More commissioned work!

Peter Gabriel makes me feel like this.

I decided to experiment with style- trying to combine my watercolor with digital work. I'm nervous working with it, but this idea in particular seemed to cry out for texture.

Hopefully people dig this- it was a fight from start to finish! But I'm pleased with the result, and I want to try more as I go along!

Oh wow, that's a fantastic technique. The mix of texture and color--and the overall composition--create a very serene yet powerful feeling. Fantastically done!

I think I may! It's hard to make this style work, since it involves a little frustrating back-and-forth between watercoloring and the computer- but it may just be worth figuring it out! Seems like people really like it- and it feels, in the end, close to my heart, art-wise.

--So which parts are watercolor and which are digital, then? Looks quite seamless.

Well- if you look at my other recent watercolor sketches- you know that blue? Yeah- this was all just Prussian Blue, and then I scanned it in and did the color digitally :)
