Commission - Sci-Gee by nicholaskole Commission - Sci-Gee by nicholaskole
Another commission! This time it's for :iconktshy: for her sister :iconhesbell:

This is Sci-Gee [link]
A fledgling pirate queen with mad tude! It was a summery day and I biked to the beach- I came back with this color palette :)

I am really enjoying working without lines in this style- and I'm learning ladies! Seriously- look through my gallery...there are almost NO LADIES. Why? Because I was scared of drawing ladies. BUT NO MORE. I am using my time right now to confront my fears of ladies and architecture/scenery :)

Hope you guys like it- I had a ton of fun making it!

More talk and process sketches on my blog: [link]

Loving this line-less thing you've got going on at the moment, especially mixed with a textured brush. Very nice. :)

The orange outline is really cool! Well, I know this is line-less, but that orange.. shape around it all is really cool. I like the colors overall. And nice lady.

Ha- thanks! :) The colors were really fun to play with and the orange outline was this "am I really going to do this?" moment :p

I feel like those "am I really going to do this?" moments are usually the best, ahaha.

Truth. I think we make better art when we're pushing the limits of our comfort zones. Much as it pains my hobbit-heart to admit. I like my comfort zone :P
