A "Masked Guardian of The Woods" for an art test! What was meant to be a quick sketch became a bit of a less-than-quick-still-a-sketch.
Kind of pleased with how he came out- particularly his green light, which I don't often use.
I work professionally as a freelance character designer at the moment, and since nobody is paying me to do watercolors, sometimes those have to take a back seat while I pull the old Photoshop back out

I miss them already- but I do like going back and forth! Makes me feel...versatile? Or like a sneaky art-spy with a secret watercolor identity.
Not breaking crazy-new design-ground, I do tend to rely more on old favorite tropes when working quick (like an enduring obsession with Barn-Owl based masks, tattoos-are-fun-let's-do-that, and the classic throw-some-round-things-in-there!) But I am kind of proud of antler-beard. That's new for me

From your sketchwork, to your lines and especially your coloring style.
