I figured what the heck- I love pokemon and this is a great excuse to experiment with this new style/technique- so I've applied to the Pokemonathon and I've started with the next few in the set! I'm having a lot of fun mixing ballpoint pen, watercolor, and digital :D

This is lovely! I like the big, blean, simple shapes with the uncomplicated but effectful lighting. What kind of ballpoint pen are you using so it doesn't smudge?

ha- I'm not sure if it's special exactly, but it's a bic soft-grip blue ballpoint. The kind that write with a softer mark, not the kind with the inky gel-pen line!
