Maleficent: The Cliff

This week was the official release of The Curse of Maleficent- a book I illustrated for Disney Publishing as a companion to the upcoming Maleficent movie!
This is the first illustration from that work- young Aurora chases a flurry of blue butterflies into harm's way and Maleficent emerges from the woods...

This is, perhaps, my favorite illustration from the whole book. It's at least up there. Probably because it takes place in Cliffternoon...which is...a thing...I do...
