SO...recently I've been doing a lot of sketching in ballpoint and prussian blue watercolor. I haven't posted any of it up here since I wasn't sure the DA community would be that interested in my sketches. But people who read my blog seem to like it- so I thought I'd toss it up here!
It relaxes me to loosen up and let go of my feeling of responsibility to render everything out. I do a lot more of this now than I do "finished" work. And you know what? I like it more.
These are an assortment of some of my favorite sketches over the last 6 months or so.
how do you control the watercolor so well? Both in color and shape? I find that when i work in watercolor it seems to go wherever it wants and it all looks the same color. I love these sketches and were wondering if you had any tips since you've controlled the medium so well even in small sketches?
